Serving GOD.
What does it truly mean to serve the Lord? This question has been on my mind constantly, even as a believer who attends church regularly. I genuinely want to serve God, but I'm unsure how to do so adequately, how to live, walk, and be in His presence. The Bible warns that not everyone who calls out "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of God, which is a serious matter.
I turn to Scripture because I don't want to serve God out of obligation; I desire to serve willingly, as I know that is the only way I can avoid sinning against Him. We all fall short, and we are all in need of grace at the feet of Jesus. One verse that resonated with me is Joshua 24:15, and I discovered another powerful one: Hebrews 6:10. Serving God fundamentally means serving others, which makes perfect sense, as Jesus came to serve, not to be served.
This reminds me of Hosea 4:6, which states that "my people perish for lack of knowledge." I urge you to delve deeper into this subject and allow your understanding to grow, rather than simply forcing yourself into service.
