Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4.

If I delight myself in the LORD, HE will give me the desires of my heart. What a great verse; what a wonderful promise! If I truly love GOD and tell HIM the desires of my heart, then I will have whatever I want isn't that what the verse says? If it is, then why doesn't it work? At least, HE should grant my good, godly desires! This is a question that I have struggled with for a long time, as have many others. What does this verse really mean? How does my delighting ensure that GOD will grant my desires? It is essential that as we consider how to become a woman of prayer, we understand what it means to delight ourselves in the LORD.
