Our conscience is like a computer. It spits out whatever has been programmed into it. If we feed it the wrong information, it will alarm us at the wrong times. That's why it is so important that we continue to study the WORD of GOD, which never changes. HIS standards of morality are eternal and are not open for negotiation. HIS laws will remain even if the whole world rejects them. That's why the psalmist wrote, "I have hidden YOUR Word in my heart that I might not sin against YOU" (Psalm 119:11).
