A conscience rightly programmed bythe WORD of GOD will cause you to feel guilty when you do something that violates GOD'S commands. It is a positive emotion that makes you realize you are a sinner in need GOD'S forgiveness. Until we face that reality and receive GOD'S forgiveness, we should feel a sense of guilt because we are guilty before GOD.
